Happy Magazine is one of the most respected voices in music, arts and culture in Australia and beyond, so who better for us to partner with to create you this 3 part series of live events!

Philadelphia Grand Jury

An Australian Trio from Sydney, Philadelphia Grand Jury are all grit and all heart, The band's current line-up consists of Joel "MC Bad Genius" Beeson on bass, keyboard and guitar, Simon "Berkfinger" Berckelman on vocals and guitar and Dan "Dan W. Sweat" Williams on drums. Their brand of Independent Punk Soul is painfully honest and heavily based in melody. Playing a mix of indie, punk and soul, we are so pumped to have these guys headlining our first Bay Sounds!


Sydney four-piece Sunscreen construct dreamy, evocative indie-rock, creating a sound that is both tough and vulnerable. Sunscreen emerged from a casual jam in a sharehouse garage between singer and guitarist Sarah Sykes, guitarist Alexander McDonald and drummer Hugo Levingston. Since then the band have garnered significant buzz, having performed support slots for DMAs, Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever, Jen Cloher and Ali Barter, as well as receiving radio and video spins on Triple J, ABC’s Rage and American college radio. 

Pyjama Sundayz

Pyjama Sundayz aka Sydney's sweethearts aka the most unique band in Sydney aka the estranged sons of Rock n Roll. Four boys putting their heads together to craft some forward thinking pop music, they'll definitely be bringing the grooves and their funky moves to Bay Sounds!

Vast Hill focuses on delivering a perfect blend of retro synth sounds and memorable melodies. Vast Hill produce music that has serious pop weight behind the production and will be bringing their electro-pop greatness to The Golden Sheaf!
