RECAP: ROSE IN THE GARDEN

We sprang into spring with Rosé In The Garden at the Sheaf - a month-long event dedicated to Sydney's favourite springtime refreshment, with Veuve Clicquot. Our Pink Garden was filled with florals, pink lights and a bounty of your pink favourites in the form of cocktails and special menus.

A calendar of events and live entertainment got guests in the mood for the spring party season... now let's roll on summer!

RECAP: MELBOURNE CUP

Another wickedly wild Melbourne Cup complete! What a day! Thank you to everyone who joined us for the party. The day was bursting with colour, excitement, live entertainment, flowing drinks and delicious food. Screens playing the race live and loud in every room throughout the venue ensured no one missed a beat. Congratulations to all the winners!

A full house of fans watched South Africa defeat England in the 2019 Rugby World Cup Final. With the highly anticipated game playing live and loud on our screens throughout the venue, the vibe was nothing like we've ever experienced!

RECAP: CANVAS CINEMA

As part of the Spring Days Sapphire Nights series presented by Bombay Sapphire, we transformed our upstairs Canopy Bar into a VIP Canvas Cinema experience that encouraged guests to stir creativity through art, fashion, music and culture films on the sapphire screen. Tickets included canapes and a complimentary Bombay Sapphire G&T.

RECAP: FATHER'S DAY

We spoiled dad with a delicious Sunday Roast and complimentary Stella Artois beer. For those who pre-booked we surprised dad with a Stella Artois Chalice and had an engraver in on the day who could personally engrave dad's shiny new glass! RECAP: POUND PAWS DOG DAY

We teamed up with Pound Paws to celebrate National Dog Day with a Dog Day party our place! We had 15+ pet market stalls throughout our dog-friendly beer garden, paw-some live entertainment including acoustic bands, a Rescue Dog Adoption Parade and dog competitions with amazing prizes. We hope you all had a barkin' good time!

RECAP: CITY2SURF2SHEAF

After surprising the 80k+ runners with Shantan Wantan Ichiban and his dancers on the roof and a Cure Cancer cheer squad, we threw the ultimate post-race afterparty and moved the finish line with City2Surf2Sheaf! We had free party buses bringing everyone back 2Sheaf for the main act: Discovery Daft Punk tribute band + free massages, laced up juices, burger specials, and great party vibes all day long. RECAP: JUNE LONG WEEKEND

We kicked off the Queen's Birthday Long Weekend with a bang with the launch of OOO Fridays in June with One Hit Agency featuring Clueless. Saturday saw Nadia Aya and her band play live to a full dancefloor while on Sunday we listened to live acoustic tunes in the Beer Garden and feasted on a delicious winter roast. We rounded out Monday with more live acoustics, DJs and many cocktails. See pictures from the Saturday night below.

RECAP: MOTHER'S DAY

Mother's Day lunch was a huge success! We spoiled mums with a free glass of bubbles on arrival and treated kids to a free meal with every main meal purchased. RECAP: ANZAC DAY

ANZAC Day 2019 was our biggest ever! With stadium seating, hilarious hosts and the biggest 2UP arena in The East - this was the place to be. We had 2UP all day, a bugle player play The Last Post followed by a live band. Our hot dog cart was a huge hit as were the VB and Carlton Draught long necks and tinnies that supported Sydney Legacy. If you hopped on down to The Golden Sheaf over the Easter Long Weekend in 2018 you would have been been in Easter Bunny heaven. We served delicious Hot Cross Bun ice cream sandwiches all weekend. RECAP: VALENTINE'S DAY

Love was in the air at our Valentine's Day Singles Party. The venue was packed with The East's most beautiful single ladies and gents. The free frose went down a treat, the psychic tarot card reader was a hit, people cosied up and watched Dirty Dancing on the Rooftop projector and DJ Paris Lawrence made sweet sweet music on the dancefloor. Thanks everyone for spreading love throughout the Sheaf. RECAP: JAN LONG WEEKEND

Thanks to everyone for making the Jan Long Weekend one to remember! We kicked off the celebrations on Friday with a great afterwork crowd, DJs, dancing and delicious drinks. Saturday was massive but just a warm up for our Triple J Hottest 100 party on Sunday followed by an incredible live instrumental performance by up-and-coming Aussie talent Kilter. Sunday was the ultimate recovery session complete with beats, eats and Bloody Marys.

RECAP: APEROL ROOFTOP

Last spring saw our Rooftop transform into an Italian oasis, with our Aperol Rooftop pop up bar radiating the ultimate Amalfi Coast vacay vibes. The pop up included an Aperitivo hour where guests could indulge in Italian bite size treats, enjoy the specially curated cocktail list and wind down to the DJ's sunset tunes.

Hosted by the Thinkergirls with appearances from celebrity guests Gretel Killeen, Osher Gunsberg and Tim Dormer, The Bachelor Viewing Party took place weekly from August to October. Guests could watch the latest Bachy episode followed by a live recording of Thinkergirls' podcast recapping the episodes. It was a great opportunity to join the #TGPOSSE conversation while sipping on cocktails with the girls.
